Architect Zaha Hadid has revealed that she hasn't been invited to the Olympics despite creating one of the site's most iconic structures - the Aquatics Centre where the UK's Tom Daley and Rebecca Adlington will compete in just a few week's time.
“Not me, not a single member of my team has been invited to a single event in the pool or anything,” she told the Telegraph at the weekend.
“Everybody is amazed. But the more I talk about it, the more likely I won’t get anything.”
Pushed on whether she'd asked why the architect replied: “I haven’t asked them. No, I mean, come on, people spend seven years doing a venue and you don’t get one invitation? It’s not acceptable.”
