Damien Hirst at Burger King

Damien Hirst donates spin painting to Burger King

Beautiful Psychedelic Gherkin Exploding Tomato Sauce All Over Your Face, Flame Grilled Painting goes on show

Last week we brought you news of a new Damien Hirst commission for a Mark Hix restaurant - now the artist has donated his painting, “Beautiful Psychedelic Gherkin Exploding Tomato Sauce All Over Your Face, Flame Grilled Painting 2003,” to the Burger King at Leicester Square, London.

The painting worth approximately £1m pounds has been installed behind reinforced glass in the restaurant's flagship location. It will remain on display until the end of the year. Hirst's loan of the spin-art to Burger King is a major coup for the brand as it attempts to achieve viral publicity  ahead of arch-Olympics rival McDonalds.
