The view inside Art Basel Miami Beach

A look at some Phaidon focussed imagery, courtesy of Gallerist NY, as one of the world's biggest art fairs opens

One of our favourite sites, Gallerist NY has just put up a chunky gallery of images from Art Basel Miami Beach where more than 250 of the world’s leading art galleries have assembled paintings, sculptures and drawings by 4,000 artists for today's opening to the general public.

We're running a few  images from it below which relate to some Phaidon artists featured at the art fair but once you've looked down them (and taken a look at their books in our store) we urge you to head over to Gallerist NY's site to see the whole gallery

Alongside Art Basel, another 20 or so satellite art fairs with their own exhibitions, lectures, film screenings and other events – many in Miami’s downtown arts district - are taking place alongside the main event. If you're in Miami don't forget to check out the NADA booth where you'll find some great work by artists from our new book Art Cities of the Future.
