Magnum photographers meet the women changing India
A touring exhibition to commemorate BNP Paribas's 150 years in the country
Phaidon.com went behind the scenes on the photo shoot for India Cookbook. The tome of 1000 easy-to-follow recipes - and we know that because we were in the kitchen - covers the length and breadth of the country. Nikita Gulhane (who runs the cookery school Spice Monkey) and his mother, Mrs G, prepared and food styled the dishes while Andy Sewell took the photographs, making the most of the natural light.
Different combinations of Indian dishes were made, food styled and photographed and the hard work was rewarded wih eating a lot of delicious and diverse Indian food. And the good news is: you can do this at home with Pushpesh Pant's authoritative India Cookbook.
