Andrea Klettner profiles the winning practices of 'Building Design's' prestigious awards
If you've ever wanted to have your say about the most recent buildings to take the architectural scene by storm, then now's your chance.
ArchDaily's Best Building of the Year Award, which launched last year, invites nominations from anyone for projects which have featured on the site during 2010 (over 900 in 2009).
The structures are listed in categories (last year's list featured everything from hotels and houses to a chapel, library and viewing platform under such categories as 'sports', 'refurbishment' and 'public facilities'), and participants can nominate one building per category per day until the closing deadline of 31 January. Five buildings per secton will continue to the voting round, which will run between 1 and 13 February, with the overall winners announced on 15 February.
