Chus Martinez, the leading international contemporary art curator, selects today's most significant artists
Phaidon's New York store is hosting a cocktail preview party tomorrow (4 May) for New York Gallery Week 2011. With cocktails supplied by Root and Snap, the reception raises a glass to the galleries and artists featured in Creamier: Contemporary Art in Culture who are participating in New York Gallery Week (6 - 8 May).
Creamier is the who's who and who-to-watch of the international contemporary art scene. Selected by 10 prominent curators, Creamier brings together 100 of the most exciting artists emerging today, the true cream of the crop.
Strengthening the synergy between artists, galleries and public institutions, New York Gallery Week provides the public with a diverse range of events and exhibitions; it brings attention to the city's enormous wealth of artistic creativity and output, and reinforces the relationships between its artists and not-for-profit exhibition spaces.
Phaidon's reception gives guests the chance to mingle with the world's best emerging artists, including Aïda Ruilova, Jamie Isenstein and Alejandro Cesarco - a special experience during New York Gallery Week.
The evening is open to the public but space is limited so RSVP is essential:
To attend the event email 'CREAMIER' to store.soho@phaidon.com
