Wim Crouwel: 'A Graphic Odyssey' in pictures
Highlights of the Dutch graphic designer's posters show Crouwel's striking asymmetric visuals
Italian-born, LA-based design label WeWOOD has produced a series of stylish wooden watches, each of them as sustainable and organic as they are utterly unique.
The watches come in two designs: a circular classic Date design, or a more retro Crono design - and in a choice of four types of wood: Maple, Guaiac, Ebony and Red Wing Celtis. This naturally light material means that each watch weighs only 42 grams and, being organic, they are hypo-allergenic and free from toxic chemicals. The precision Miyota movement technology ensures they never lose time either.
WeWOOD watches are highly sustainable too; all materials are recyclable, biodegradable and take less CO2 to produce than materials traditionally used to make watches. And to ensure that their brand remains environmentally responsible, WeWOOD have partnered with American Forests (the oldest non-profit conservation organisation) to plant one tree for every watch sold.
Stylish and sustainable? We know we wood!
