René Redzepi on the Story of Noma
Phaidon.com gained unprecedented access to René Redzepi for this exclusive video on the story of Noma - the number one restaurant in the world
Noma has done it again. Not only does the best restaurant in the world continue to be recognised on the global gourmet stage, but the book chronicling the story of this restaurant is gathering pace and garnering its own awards. Following on from Noma's recent successes at the James Beard Foundation awards, Noma: Time and Place in Nordic Cuisine has triumphed in two different categories at the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) awards in Austin, Texas.
Noma: Time and Place in Nordic Cuisine won best 'Food Photography and Styling' at the IACP. The book was also honoured for 'Best Design', a rare award for which titles are not directly nominated. The award is only bestowed on a title where the book design is deemed outstanding and deserving of special recognition.
Credited with reinventing Nordic cuisine, René Redzepi's restaurant and book continue to conquer the culinary world.
