London's Canary Wharf is preparing itself for a Spanish invasion next week as the annual A Taste of Spain festival descends on the business district (11 - 13 May). For a celebration of all things Spanish, be prepared to sample some authentic tapas to the tune of traditional Flamenco music; let's just hope the sun comes out for the occasion!
With Ibérica bringing the best of Spanish gastronomy and artisan produce to the festival, food and wine lovers are sure to be in heaven. Ibérica's Michelin chef Nacho Marzano and José Pizarro will be giving how-to tapas classes the Ibérica way, and award-winning sommelier Bruno Murciano will give wine masterclasses, allowing you to sample the best boutique Spanish wines available in the UK.
Ibérica - situated on Great Portland Street - is London's impressive two-storey tapas bar, which serves up seasonal, unique and mouth-watering cuisine in the open, relaxed yet dynamic atmosphere of this Spanish hot-spot. Ibérica also has its own delicatessen that stocks over 20 olive oils and one of the biggest selection of Spanish cheeses and cured meats in the UK.
José Pizarro - the renowned London-based Spanish chef and contributor to Phaidon's 1080 Recipes, the bible of Spanish cuisine - will be teaming up with Ibérica to provide the best Spanish tapas at A Taste of Spain.
