Overview
  • An essential purchase for all dog lovers, this book features anonymous snapshots of dogs from the turn of the cenutry to the early 1950s
  • Catherine Johnson’s collection – with its small format, unpretentious photographs and days-gone-by aesthetic – not only reveals a love for ‘man’s best friend’, but also presents a sophisticated selection made with a keen eye for the unusual within mundane
  • Features hundreds of dogs in all kinds of settings; under the Christmas table or in the sea; posing for the family portrait or being squeezed tightly by an over-enthusiastic toddler; a Chihuahua in a tea cup or a Great Dane standing as tall as its young owner
