Ferran Adrià and his brother Albert appear to be planning a Japanese restaurant in Barcelona according to a tweet from Ferran's translator Lucy Garcia. "After the Mexican Ferran and Albert to open a Nikkei restaurant," she tweeted yesterday. Ferran and Albert have already announced plans for a Mexican restaurant in the city this year.

Adrià has consistently said that he intends to continue his gastronomy career alongside his elBulli Foundation, due to open in 2014. In a recent interview with finedininglovers.com he claimed Asian cuisine would lead the world in the next decade.
